Now, we're scaling and looking for a BD Director to own the strategy, pipeline, and partnerships that will power our next phase of growth.

WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE?

As a (Senior) Director of Business Development – Enterprise Payments, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth in the enterprise payments space, with a focus on large-scale enterprises, marketplaces, and platform businesses.

Leveraging deep expertise in card scheme ecosystems, B2B Payments, BPSP models, and relationship building, business development, and deep knowledge of card payment ecosystems, you will identify and secure high-value partnerships with enterprise clients, enabling them to optimize their global payment flows.

This role requires a strong network, a consultative sales approach, and a deep understanding of payment ecosystems.

WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH

As a critical member of the global team, this position will report directly to the US Managing Director.

You’ll partner closely with our Product Management and Marketing local business unit teams to build a cohesive user journey that delivers the right product to the right users, at the right time.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Enterprise Sales & Growth Strategy

  • Identify, pursue, and secure partnerships with high-value enterprise clients, including but not limited to large corporates across various verticals such as marketplaces, ERPs, digital platforms, etc.

  • Execute a go-to-market strategy targeting end-to-end payment enablement opportunities including acquiring, issuing and B2B payments, with a specific focus on BPSP (Card-to-Account) use cases and card scheme partnership models (Visa/Mastercard, etc)

  • Build solid relationships across multiple levels within the organization of the enterprise clients and become the go-to person

  • Manage complex negotiations with C-level executives to establish long-term strategic partnerships

Market Expansion & Competitive Positioning

  • Identify new verticals and emerging payment trends to expand market reach, including opportunities with leading commercial card issuers in the US (and/or LaTam market)

  • Analyze competitive positioning and develop value-driven propositions tailored to enterprise clients.

  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and sales strategies for BPSP solutions, cross-border B2B payout products, card acquiring and virtual card issuance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution

  • Partner with Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of payment solutions.

  • Drive sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue growth tracking in alignment with company targets.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 8-10 years of relevant and progressive work experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships within payments, fintech, cross-border payments, BPSP, or card scheme environments (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, or a principal member bank/acquirer/issuer).

  • Established network within card schemes, acquirers, issuers, or BPSPs — and/or enterprise clients such as marketplaces, digital platforms, and multinational corporations

  • Exposure to large corporations from previous Payment/Banking, Card Scheme, BPSP, or Business Development careers; candidates from Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or principal member acquirers or issuers are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals and exceeding revenue target

WHO YOU ARE

  • Educated with a relevant degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen

  • Ability to drill down, persistence, and a never-give-up spirit. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute high-impact business development strategies.

  • Strong consultative sales approach and experience negotiating with enterprise C-level executives.
